About ME
ABOUT ME
My name is Amy Revia and I am the Lead Trainer at The Dog Haus K9 Solutions. For as long as I can remember I have loved animals. There has never been a time in my life when I didn’t have a dog (or four) around. When I was younger, I worked as a vet tech for day clinics and then worked for an emergency vet hospital for a couple of years.

As life often does, my path changed and led me down a different career path. Once I graduated college with my bachelor degree in social work, I began working with people who had severe mental illnesses. After that, I worked as a probation officer for many years. I am proud of the work that I did in that field, but my heart kept pulling me back to animals. At the end of 2019, I decided that life is too short to do something I wasn’t passionate about so I left my job to pursue my passion of working with dogs!

In 2020, I attended the Starmark Academy for Professional Dog Trainers and earned my Canine Training Specialist Certification. Shortly after that I opened The Dog Haus K9 Solutions! I love working with dogs and helping people learn how to effectively communicate with their dogs. In April of 2023, I attended the Shadow Program with The Good Dog Training and Rehabilitation in New Orleans, which added a ton of knowledge and tools to my toolbelt. I am constantly working to expand my knowledge and keep myself current on the most up to date methods and techniques. I am a balanced methods trainer, so I am open to using all tools and methods that can help people and dogs live better lives. With my background in social work and probation, I am fully capable of being as soft or as firm as the situation requires!
